Observations from the Other Side

I started this blog in 2009 when I unexpectedly joined the Air Force at the age of 37. I say “unexpectedly” because sometimes we find ourselves in situations that call for a complete pivot from our plans, and the necessity of opening ourselves up to possibilities beyond our wildest imaginations. The blog was a way of “writing home” to my friends and family so they could keep up with my military adventures. I’ve continued it to keep perspective of “the other side” of life’s curveballs.
